This pedal requires a 9V DC center negative isolated power supply specifically made for guitar pedals. Not all 9V power supplies are created equal, as some will cause the pedal to not function properly or can introduce unwanted noise. Snag one of our recommended power supplies from this list if you aren't sure about yours, or if you are a first time pedal buyer!
The new, refreshed So Long and Thanks For All The Boost features cool distressed artwork reminiscent of NOFX’s So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes record (get it?). If you’re familiar with my older, now-discontinued Oneder Boost circuit, you’ll be stoked on this pedal. Still two flavors of boost, but the second stage is now footswitchable AND adjustable via the light-up green knob. The first boost is clean, sparkly, and tightens the low end like a good boost should. The footswitchable “dirty boost” mode can go from a slightly gritty boost, to a vintage sounding overdrive, all the way to a spitty, two-transistor fuzz. The dirty boost mode also fattens up the lows, making this configuration GREAT on bass guitar.
While this pedal is not quite a “NOFX in a box” sound on its own, this boost in front of a medium to high-gain amp is as punk rock as it gets. Or, use it to add a gain stage or two to your dirt pedals. OR, use it as a solo boost after your favorite overdrive or distortion. A utility pedal that everyone can enjoy. Plus, it’s a great pun.
